2. CBDistillery Tincture

CBDistillery is a very well known CBD brand. It is based in USA, however I found a UK distributor, so you now can get access to their products without paying crazy shipping costs, or worrying whether the products will get delivered.

CBD Oil Tincture is naturally sourced and consistently 3rd party lab-tested to ensure quality. Pure CBD tinctures contain the highest quality, hemp-derived CBD, and 0% THC.

Ingredients: Fractionated Coconut Oil (MCT) and Cannabidiol (CBD) from Hemp Extract (Aerial Parts)

The dosage guideline for this tincture is very straightforward:

  • For small dogs (under 9 kg): Give 1/4 of a dropper
  • For medium dogs (9 to 27 kg): Give 1/2 of a dropper
  • For large dogs (over 27 kg): Give 3/4 of a dropper

This is a guidline for 500mg bottle, so if you decide to buy a 1000mg you should reduce the by half.

If your pet is not seeing results after approximately 2 or 3 weeks, consider increasing the dosage.

Is CBD Oil Safe for My Dog?

CBD oil is absolutely safe for your dog as it is non-toxic and offers a relaxing stimulant and pain-relief effect.  Cannabidiol (CBD) is a substance that can be found in a cannabis or hemp plant. In contrast to THC, CBD oil is not psychoactive stimulus, but rather provides your dog with a calming feeling and pain-relieving sensations without harming them with potential intoxicating effects.

You may be suprised that your dog (along with most other mammals) actually has the same system to process cannabinoids that you have.

This system is known as the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) and it helps moderate a whole variety of bodily processes using endocannabinoids (like anandamide and 2-AG).

How Much CBD Oil Should I Give My Dog?

There is no one clear anwser on how to dose CBD oil. Everything depends on the weight of your dog and dog’s ailment.

CBD is a non-toxic compound, which menas that it won’t produce any serious side effects if ou give your dog too much of it. However, CBD is known to have sedative-like effects in high doses, which can leave your dog feeling sleepy or lethargic.

Ideally, you’ll want to start your pet off on a small dose of CBD and then gently increase their dose over several weeks.

Is CBD Oil for Dogs in UK legal?

Since CBD products became popular many people are wondering whether CBD oil for dogs in UK is legal. The anwser is YES.

The UK along with many other European and international countries has recently decided to legally differentiate between certain chemical compounds found in Cannabis, known as Cannabinoids.

CBD is completely legal for recreational use in the UK, as long as it contains less than 0.2% THC.

THC is what’s responsible for getting you “high”, so although you may be disappointed to learn that CBD won’t get you high, it comes with a wide range of health/fitness benefits and is available in many different forms such as oils, e-liquids, edibles, water soluble shots, shatter, etc.

Although it is legal to buy Hemp and Cannabis derived products in the UK (As long as it has less than 0.2% THC) it still remains illegal to grow Hemp/Cannabis regardless of its Cannabinoid content without a license and permission from the UK Home Office.
